Comments:

We oppose the proposed change in FTC Rules allowing companies to deliver pre-recorded messages to individuals with whom they have an established business relationship. Telemarketing companies have proven in the past that they have the resources to infringe on individual privacy, create an undue burden and nuisance to private citizens. Liberalizing the rules would alienate customers and serve as an incentive to curtail or hide business dealings whenever possible.
