Comments:
This proposed rule is a travesty. Over 62 million people have put their names on the "Do Not Call" list. This proposed rule is merely a gimmik to get around the intent of the rule. There are other forms of marketing / advertising that companies can use. Leaving recorded messages on answering machines or voice mail is an intrusion to our privacy. You are clearly not helping us; this proposed rule violates the whole spirit or concept of the "Do Not Call" list. I am totally opposed to this exception. You will be doing a real disservice to the people if you permit this to go forward.
