I am completely opposed to allowing telemarketers to leave recorded messages on telephones! Since the Do Not Call list started, we have lived in relative peace without the disruptive instrusion of telemarkers. However, those that still call are....guess what...recorded messages that we can do nothing about now as there is no way to communicate with them to STOP! By allowing the proposed exemption is doing nothing but opening up the floodgates for telemarketing calls again. Maybe a better suggestion is to let folks opt-in to allow recorded sales pitches. I doubt you get many takers, but it leaves it up to the individual and not the telemarketers who do nothing but disturb peoples privacy! The millions of people who signed up for the registry did it for a reason!
