|Subject:||Trade Regulation Rule on Telemarketing Sales|
|Title:||Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, Request for Comment|
|CFR Citation:||16 CFR Part 310|
Comments:DO NOT allow unwanted pre-recorded commercial messages to come to those of us who have put our names on the do not call registry. If you allow this to occur you are completely negating the purpose of the list. Just because they are pre-recorded doesn't make them any more desirable than unrecorded calls. Whoever thinks that this is OK is really, really dumb. To propose such a rule appears to be allowing the no call list to be totally curcumvented. It also makes the FTC appear to be totally in the control of the telemarketing industry. How about the public having a say in what they want, not the telmarketing community. What a concept.... the public being listened to. In case you note a touch of sarcasm in this comment it is only because of the utter stupidity of this proposal.
