Telemarketers should not be granted any additional safe harbor regarding prerecorded messages. My small business is difficult enough to manage without the relentless and unnecessary intrusion of telemarketing whether or not related to an established business relationship. I am the one paying for the phone service and I should be able to control its use. If the telemarketers are allowed to continue on this track, technology should be put in place to require them to preceed the message with a code that has been programmed to either accept or deny access to the owner of the phone. That way those who want to get these calls can. It's like selective blocking and I think the telemarketers should pay for the technology if they want access to the communications lines.
