|Subject:||Trade Regulation Rule on Telemarketing Sales|
|Title:||Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, Request for Comment|
|CFR Citation:||16 CFR Part 310|
Comments:I do not agree that companies with whom I already do business should have the right to intrude with prerecorded calls, which, by their nature, are purely marketing-related and even more aggravating than an actual telemarketer. They already have other methods for approaching me as evidenced by the daily contents of my mail box. I also do not believe that it would improve the protection of my privacy to reduce the control on measuring abandoned calls. It would seem that would promote shorter campaigns simply to relax the effect of the control.
