I am very upset about the proposed changes to the Do Not Call List rules. The worst proposal is the one that would allow telemarketers to call cell phones - making us pay to be hassled! How could the FTC, a group that talks so much about protecting consumers, even consider making such harmful changes? It is unbelievable. The Do Not Call List is the best thing you've done in decades, and now you want to screw it up? Why? Clearly, you're more concerned about the telemarketers than about the consumers. Allowing a small number of prerecorded calls to be made to land lines would be one thing, something I could handle, but to cell phones?? To set it up so that consumers not only have to put up with junk calls but have to PAY for them as well? Like I said, it's unbelievable. Please DO NOT change the Do Not Call List rules. Thank you.
