What part of "we don't want any type of telemarketing communications" doesn't the government understand? We added our phone numbers to the "do not call" registry because we are fed up with those irritating calls and attempts by telemarketers to invade the privacy of our homes. The last time I checked, I paid for my own phone service and I don't appreciate it being used for something I don't approve of. In addition, these "messages" that can be left on answering machines will just flood these devices with unwanted calls and will take up valuable message space. If telemarketers want to advertise, they should just purchase print, radio, or TV advertising space. Please don't dilute our rights any more and reject this ridiculous and unnecessary amendment. It's about time that the government starts worrying about the average citizens instead of big business.
