I do not want messages left on my answering machine from telemarketers. I refuse to buy items from anyone who telemarkets. I do not believe that calling a business for information or purchasing a product from them gives them the right to irritate me. Not purchasing an item from them in the future does not keep them from calling me. Telemarketers bother, annoy and inconvenience the public for their own personal gain. I think they should be banned from all activity or made to pay $1.00 to anyone who files and complains about the inconvenience caused by the call. I bill $65 an hour for my time. I think I should be able to bill the telemarketer for my time. One of the interesting things they say, is that, they don't bombard people with telemarketing. One call from company A, one call from Company B etc etc adds up. Tieing up my phone with a recorded message does not allow my customers to reach me. I don't call my customers for business, they call me. If the telemarketer is calling my machine when a customer is trying to reach me, their business is preventing my business from making a sale.
