Gentlemen, HOW in the name of God could you POSSIBLY consider this change? Just the fact that over 3 million people have signed up for the Do Not Call list should speak VOLUMNS about what the PEOPLE WANT..... Do you REALLY believe that a RECORDED MESSAGE would be received better than a live person on the phone? I personally find the recorded messages to be MORE intrusive than anything else, BECAUSE, I pay the phone company EXTRA money each month to NOT be published in the phone book or in 411, and these types of phone calls are generally just random calls that are generated by a computer to ANY valid phone number. THEREFORE, I would be getting phone solicitations that I do NOT get currently! THIS IS A TERRIBLE IDEA AND A BREACH OF THE PUBLIC TRUST WE PUT IN YOU TO PROTECT US. DO NOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN!
