As a taxpayer, I urget you to ignore the amendment proposed by telemarkets to skirt the Do Not Call list with pre-recorded calls. I realize how powerful the telemarketing lobbyists are--they'v got plenty of money to try and bend the rules. But the FTC doesn't work for them--you work for us, the taxpayers, and we've made it abundantly clear that we don't want telemarkets to call us or send us junk mail. Period. STOP the amendment and do what's right for taxpayers, not the telemarketing industry.
