The point of the DO NOT CALL list should be self-explanatory and exempt from all loopholes that would render it ineffective. The purpose of a DO NOT CALL list is to reduce annoying calls from telemarketers. It is not for everyone and his grandmother who I have already done business with to call and leave messages on my voicemail all day long--effectively wasting time that I must invest in listening to them and deleting them. I will, if I desire further information, CONTACT THEM. If I don't contact them, then let it be assumed, I don't need nor desire for them to contact me. They are not doing a service to their customers by leaving sales messages on their voicemail. They are only trying to fatten their bottom line. Therefore, I wholeheartedly support securing any loophole that would allow a company that I have done prior business with to phone me with messages I do not want. I desire privacy and peace and quiet and do not wish to be harrassed---especially from companies with whom I've already done business. They can send me a letter if it's that important.
