I am outraged that the FTC would even consider gutting the Federal do not call list. The proposed rule is so obviously contrary to the intent of the original legislation and the desire of the tens of millions of Americans who signed up that only the most cynical Bush appointee flunkies would even dream of attempting this. Go ahead and gut the rule. Every time that phone rings during dinner, Americans will be reminded of exactly how you sold them out to the telemarketing industry.
