The Do Not Call list as currently defined by FTC rules has been effective in reducing the number of unsolicited phone calls to residences. I and 66 million others have signed on to this DNC list for the simple reason that we DO NOT want to be solicited in our homes by phone calls, especially recorded ones. 66 million of us DO NOT want to see the rules altered to allow recorded solicitations to once again fill the phone lines with unwanted traffic. The notion that calls could be made in cases where businesses have a pre-existing relationship with consumers is a trojan horse. The concept will be abused by unscrupulous companies. The discrepancy in rules between the FTC and FCC should be brought into harmony NOT be rewriting the FTC rules to allow these calls, but rather by specifically disallowing such calls in the FCC rules. Thank You, Sean Boyle
