Please do not pass this ammendment. When I added myself to the Do-Not-Call list, I meant just that. I don't want anyone to call me for commercial purposes. Personally I would request that you make an ammendment that allows me the option of additionally refusing political and charitable solicitations. I out of principal will not respond in a positive way to any such solicitation. My personal home phone for which i pay monthly to maintain is for my personal use. I may personally initiate a business transationc by calling out, but will never accept a business transaction to be initiated by someone else incomming to my home. My phone is also for my personal use for contacting friends, family, aquaintances, and emergencies. Automated message systems almost never leave the required contact information so i can track them to verify origns. They also cause problems with my security system since they do not disconnect the phone line is a resonable period of time. I have hung up the phone for 60 seconds and still had the recording going on the other end when i try to place a call. Again, respectfully I urge you not to pass this ammendment.
