As a consumer, I chose to purchase a cell phone for emergency purposes. I have a limited number of minutes to use because I don't use my cell phone very often. Why should I not only be inundated with messages from individuals whom I don't even know but also pay to retrieve these messages because I'm not sure if it is an actual emergency or not? Are the telemarketers going to pay for the extra minutes I've used to listen and delete these calls? Is my service provider going to be sympathic and offer me extra minutes for free? I doubt it! Please don't allow this proposed amendment pass! Thank You
