I am not in favor of any weakening of the telemarketing sales rules. They should be strengthened to protect the consumer. I do not think anyone has the right to use my private information as a sales tool without first requesting an authorization from me. I should not have to opt out of such use. Just because I do business with a company one time does not mean that I wish to do business in the future with them or any of their affiliates. Please help to prevent this encroachment on our lives. I am just now feeling a little confident that when I answer the phone, it will be someone I wish to have contact with., not some sales person.
