I writing to encourage the FTC NOT to change its' rules relaxing the telemarketing restrictions. For the first time in years our family has been able to sit at the dinner table together without interruptions from telemarketers. It's been so refreshing, and periodically we thank the FTC at dinner for arranging this. Any spin the telemarketing companies make implying that consumers want these sorts of calls is simply untrue. May I urge you to conduct your own internal staff survey asking if they would like a return to pre-restriction days. Anyone asked would likely laugh at the suggestion. Please stay consumer and family friendly and keep those rules in place. Happy holidays to you and everyone at your agency.
