I pay for my phone service. I do not pay for this service to enable others to harrass my family with unwelcome sales calls. It is bad enough that they play dumb when they ignore the do not call registry. I feel that all recorded messages should be illegal. Why should I, as a consumer have to take yet another step to opt out of calls from people committing theft of service. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. AS far as I am converned, the law is too weak already. If changes are to be made, they should be to close loopholes not open them even wider. How about ending ALL unsolicited calls? You can start an opt-in list and perhaps people would be willing to opt-in if there were some finincial (or other) incentive. Until then. as long as I am paying for phone service, I will not tolorate theft of service being commited by these telemarketers.
