This is insane. Allowing this amendment would effectively create a loophole where telemarketers can legally become spammers, shoving piles of automated messages to private voice lines that don't want them. It was bad enough when they used real people to call us all evening, but to allow such automation means that none of us will be free from constantly ringing phones and overflowing answering machines.
