I cannot believe this question is even coming up!! The reason people sign up on a no-call list is because we do not want to get calls from people selling things, PERIOD! Commercial interests already invade far too much of our lives. When I am at home, I do not want ANY business, even ones I have dealt with before, calling me to try to drum up more business! My home is my private space, and I pay for my phone and my phone service so I can call and be called by people I love and care about, not so some business can invade my privacy and interrupt my chores and my conversations and my sleep by trying to sell me stuff! I don't care if the message is live or pre-recorded, I just don't want it to invade my home! If anything, I think pre-recorded messages ARE WORSE, because then you cannot tell the caller to never call you again, unless you go to a whole lot of extra trouble to try and find their information and waste more of your valuable time trying to reach them! Please, please, PLEASE do not allow ANY form of unsolicited calls to be taking place. Everywhere I go, every time the subject comes up, folks who are not on the list yet are complaining about unwanted phone calls from businesses, and if anything I feel you should make ALL forms of telephone solicitation unlawful.
