Comments:
The present method of controlling unwanted solicitation calls is working well for consumers. The pressure for change comes only from the direct marketing industry. That, in itself, should indicate who will benefit from making a less strict standard. It is rather ridiculous, given all the efforts put forth to enact the original, and existing, controls to believe that reducing the strictures on telemarketing would be to the benefit of the public. No, do not approve any changes, especially when there is no public pressure to do so.
