Comments:
I urge the Federal Trade Commission to maintain the current Telemarketing Sales Rule and not adopt the proposed amendment. There is no ambiguity in the consumers' overwhelmingly support and desire to opt out from recieving solicitation calls. The Commission, as an agency of our government, should represent the interest of the consumers and not be available for purchase nor subject to lobby group pressure. I own the phone on which my inbound calls are recieved and I pay for the service employed. If I elect not to be harrased in the sanctity of my own home, I should have that right. If the current rule allowing for the Do Not Call List is not supported I'll simply cancel my phone service and remember those who did not hear the citizens' voice.
