I cannot think of a more annoying thing than pre-recorded sales calls. These calls will compound exponentially because there is no labor to making the call. A $15K machine to make the calls would be implemented after a sales professional convinces a small marketing company that it is a good investment. The marketing company will then go out and sell its services to home improvement, fundraising, credit card, insurance and refinancing companies. They will keep using them until the FCC makes them illegal. Before the do not call list was implemented calls were getting so bad I and many of my friends were considering not listing our number for reasons of peace and quiet. Allowing pr- recorded calls would only make my answering machine an commercial recording device. I am tired of junk cluttering my life.
