I urge you NOT to amend the "Do Not Call" restrictions for the following reasons: 1.) It is seldom good practice for an administrative agency to modify a specific Act of Congress, particularly, as here, where the public has been so directly benefited. It will reflect badly on this Administration. 2.) An opportunity exists NOW to opt out and allow calls if a consumer deems it appropriate. 3.) Many states, such as Washington, currently prohibit "pre-recorded" commercial phone calls. 4.) Corporations may pay but consumers VOTE. I intend to. Robert J. Tomlinson
