As an American, I thought I was entitled to certain rights such as life, liberty and the persuit of happiness. My happiness is being invaded by telemarketers who are disturbing me at dinner time and when I am relaxing in the evening. I like many other Americans have spoken our wishes by placing our names on the "DO NOT CALL LIST." This was not taken lightly. I live in a home that is my refuge. I certainly do not appreciated callers who leave messages on my answering machine taking surveys, selling unwanted merchandise or trying to solicit my business. This is a government OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE. The "PEOPLE" HAVE SPOKEN. IS THERE ANYONE LISTENING. To invade my home on a telephone that I pay for, for my use and my protection I feel is criminal. Likewise, I pay for a cell phone so that I can feel safe when I am out traveling. I pay for this priviledge only to get messages from inconsiderate business people who call wanting my business. I strongly urge you to reconsider this rape of taxpayers who have very little time for themselves anymore, and are at the mercy of businesses who seem to have the government in their pockets. The people who placed their names on the "DO NOT CALL LIST," want only to be left alone and not be pestered by unwanted callers, selling things they do not want or taking surveys they want no part of. IT IS HIGH TIME YOU LISTENED TO THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE SIGNED UP FOR THE 'DO NOT CALL LIST." WE DO NOT WANT THESE CALLS AT ALL. IF WE WANT MERCHANDISE WE KNOW WHERE TO FIND IT. WE DO NOT DO PHONE SURVEYS BECAUSE WE DO NOT KNOW WHO IS CALLING(AND WE DON'T CARE). ANY BUSINESS OR ORGANIZATION THAT CALLS ME AND DISTURBS ME WILL NOT GET MY BUSINESS OR ANY THING ELSE THEY ARE LOOKING FOR IF THEY CHOOSE TO INVADE MY PRIVATE DOMAIN. You have taken my rights away. I WANT THEM BACK. DO NOT ALLOW BUSINESSES TO MAKE CALLS TO PEOPLE ON THE "DO NOT CALL LIST."
