We understand the FTC is considering a request from Voice Mail Broadcasting Corp to allow calling consumers with pre-recorded calls even though the consumer has placed his/her name on the national do-not-call list. We also understand that FCC regulations allow such calls, while the FTC does not. We think the FCC regulation allowing such calls should be changed to the FTC model. We urge the FTC to maintain the full force and effect of the do-not-call list by denying the Voice Mail Broadcasting request. An unwanted phone call, whether from a live telemarketer or from a pre-recorded message is still UNWANTED!
