This is abslutely ridiculous. Telemarketing calls OF ANY KIND are a complete invasion of privacy and an inconsiderate, rude waste of time. I want LESS calls to my home, not MORE. I am incredibly frustrated that telemarketing companies are able to lobby the government to serve their purposes, while the HUGE majority of American citizens are disgusted and infuriated by telemarketing calls. Unsolicited advertisement on TV is different, because you can always choose to turn off the TV. But unsolicited advertisement on your personal home phone is completely unacceptible, because it cannot be turned off. I am sick of businesses finding new and more invasive ways of shoving advertisements down our throats. I would like to think that I am safe from these advertisements within my own home, at the very least. PLEASE listen to the large majority of citizens on this one, and NOT the minority of unethical telemarketing companies who are destroying our privacy and invading our homes unwanted. Thank you.
