I am OPPOSED to the Direct Marketing Association's petition to ammend the current TSR's call abandonment safe harbor provisions. I registered my phone number, (805) 382-3476, with the National Do Not Call Registry on 2/15/04. On any given month, I receive five or six telemarketing calls between 6pm and 7pm weekdays. I do not have caller ID, and when I ask for the caller phone number, they hang-up and I cannot report it. Telemarketers have NOT stopped calling, and Telemarketing Sales Rules should be TIGHTENED, NOT EASED.
