I am extremely distressed by the possibility of any relaxation of telephone marketing access to members of the "Do Not Call" registry. Just because I have had a transaction with an organization or firm, does not mean I wish to allow sales calls or any other inquiries via my home telephone that is not expressly and particularly sanctioned by me or any member of my family. I strongly disagree with Voice Mail Broadcasting, stating that customers welcome calls from "favorite" vendors, especially when these calls, as so often happens, draws one away from any intensive activity or other interactions. Although a few acquaintances in my age group find such calls welcome, most people I know (young and old) were overjoyed with the advent of the "Do Not Call" Registry. There has been a vastly noticeable calming in my home as a result. PLEASE RESIST ANY LESSENING OF THIS EFFECT! Regards, Joyce Sprung
