Comments:
Of all the asinine proposals to come down the pike, this one has to rank, minimally, in the top 2. How much did this item cost the telemarketing industry in contributions? Why not just be honest and simply abolish the Do Not Call List. This little jewel will allow the big telemarketing companies, who can afford the equipment, to continue as they did before the law. Frankly I have enjoyed the sound of my phone not ringing. Instead enacting this monstrosity, the addition of a provision prohibiting calls from politicians and banks would be better choice. I firmly reject this proposal.
