I have one guy that has called me for months via Libertyville Illinois for MONTHS. Several times a week. I am routinely awakened Saturday mornings from prerecorded messages. And at various points throughout the week find dozens of calls from UNKNOWN CALLER UNKNOWN ADDRESS. I am sick of it. I give my number out only to people to whom I wish to talk. It's a shame that government and the folks that will line their pockets can only see the power of green. I had already payed taxes on the money that I used to buy the phone, which was taxed already through sales taxes and embedded taxes. I pay taxes to the FCC each month among others to use the service of my choice and I even paid taxes for the envelope I mail the check in and, additionally, on the gas that I use to get the envelope returned to the Telecommunications company. To even do this much I had to write a check with my pen, both of which had POP taxes as well as the embedded taxes in each. The least you could do is let me decide if I'd like to sleep in on Saturday!!!!! I signed up for the DO NOT CALL LIST for a reason!!! Leave me alone!!! How do you people live your lives that can possibly be so different from mine? The only difference I can see at this point is that there are a group of people out there who see me only as a consumer. I do not see your wives, husbands and children as mere potential customers, especially at dinnertime. The last thing I want is for my time to be disturbed by some machine. It really isn't asking too much. NO! NO! NO!
