I am thrilled with the results of being on the no-call list. My dinner hour and evening hours are now peaceful. However, during the recent campaign season, my phone was flooded with pre-recorded campaign messages from candidates, and candidate's supporters. They recorded onto my phone answering machine and filled up the tape so real people couldn't leave messages. If I answered the phone and hung-up- the messages kept going! This was very annoying and I certainly don't want Telemarketers being allowed to do the same thing all year long. I think that politcal campaigns should not be permitted to do this either. As far as being protected by the having a relationship with clause- if you get a catalog in the mail you have a relationship. If I get unwanted phonecalls from all the people I get unwanted catalogs from, my quality of life will decrease. Please don't permit this additional call abandonment safe harbor to be incorportated into the regulations.
