My family and I are extreemly distressed by the possibility of any relaxation of telephone marketing access to members of the "Do Not Call" registry. Just because we have had a transaction with an organization or firm, does not mean we wish to allow sales calls or any other inquiries via our home telephone that is not expressly and particularly sanctioned by any member of our family. We strongly disagree with Voice Mail Broadcasting, stating that customers welcome calls from "favorite" vendors, especially when these calls, as so often happens, draws one away from any intensive activity or family interactions. Although a few acqaintances in my age group (I am 77) are lonely enough to find such calls welcome, most people we know (young and old) were overjoyed with the advent of the "Do Not Call" Registry. There has been a vastly noticeable calming of our family evenings as a result. PLEASE RESIST ANY LESSENING OF THIS EFFECT!
