Comments:

We object to any change in regulations which it more likely that members of the public would receive unexpected or unrequested telephone advertising of any sort. We also object to the "opt-out" concept in such advertising. Rather regulations should enforce "opt-in". We also feel that companies intending to use personal information for advertising should be forced to clearly and specifically obtain written permission from the customer. Obtaining contact information through use of a credit card, atm card or check should not be considered "permission". Mr and Mrs Fowle
