The result of the Do Not Call Registry has been wonderful in that we no longer get telemarketing calls. The idea of a change to allow "prerecorded message telemarketing" is of great concern to my family. When we are interrupted by a telemarketing phone call it doesn't matter whether the message is recorded or delivered live. We still have to stop whatever we are doing (usually eating dinner) to answer an unwanted telephone call. I probably would prefer a call from a live person because I could at least vent my frustrations about telemarketers to them. WE DO NOT WANT TELEMARKETING CALLS OF ANY KIND!!!!!!
