Put me down as opposed to this change. Worst case why not have a two or three tiered list. Tier one is absolute do not call. Tier two is a'la cart do not call by pre-existing vendors etc. with case by case opt-out (I don't care how perverse you make this tier since I choose Tier1). Tier three is "no preference" which you get assigned if you don't actively choose tier one or tier two making you fair game for all tele-marketers. The tele-marketers will hate this idea since vast numbers will choose the absolute do not call tier1 option. My phone stopped ringing thank God when the do not call provision was adopted and you are going to have a lot of pissed off voters if our phones start up again. Keep the camel's nose out of this tent.
