I beg you, PLEASE do not loosen the restrictions on telemarketing calls to consumers, and please do not pass this amendment. The huge response by consumers to the national Do Not Call Registry should tell you that citizens find this an issue of utmost importance. We do not want our privacy invaded via unwanted telemarketing calls. The American public has made clear that we do not value these unwanted communications, and we are relying on you to limit and/or stop them. I urge that you do NOT amend the Telemarketing Sales Rule.
