I must protest the proposed amendment to the Telemarketing Sales Rule that would allow pre-recorded messages to be delivered to consumers home telephone number. I Do Not want to receive any telemarketing messages, even if I have an alledged "business relationship" with those who intend to harrass me with a pre-recorded message. The respite from telemarketers since the inception of the "do not call" list has been pure bliss. I will resist (at the ballot box if need be) in any and every manner any attempt to liberalize the restrictions placed on this perverse form of "business pratice". It would appear that the do not call list has had its desired effect. Let the Direct Marketing Association channel its energy into legitimate business practices and stop harrassing consumers in their homes!!! Thank you for your attention.
