I am strongly opposed to any loosening of existing restrictions on the "do not call" program. Even with these, I still get some calls and I always ask them to take my number off their list. I tell them I do not accept any telephone solicitations. My phone is for personal use. I don't want ANYONE calling me for "business purposes", not even copmpanies that claim an existing relationship with me. I sometimes get prerecorded calls - I hang up on these immediately. Those calls uoght to have an option at the beginning of the call to be removed from their list, before anything else is said. While the current list has improved matters, it is still not 100% effective. I don't want to be disturbed except for personal calls. I don't want any business calls, unless I have specifically asked them to call me back. The inconvenience of unsolicited calls is quite extreme, and is exactly like spam. Please don't change the existing setup, unless it is to make it more restrictive for unsolicited calls. Thankj you.
