Comments:
As a private individual and consumer, I am firmly opposed to any rule changes which will increase the number of telemarketing calls. I feel that the proposed change will subvert the intent of the very popular and successful Do-Not-Call list. Pre-recorded calls in particular are a major annoyance. Any telemarketing effort should have a mandatory opt-in mechanism. I have business relationships with too many companies to allow these companies to begin calling me without my prior permission. I am confident that I speak for many other consumers.
