Please don't weaken the effectiveness of the Do Not Call list. Family dinner times that used to be a constant battle with ringing phones are now peaceful. Let's keep it that way! I don't know anyone who would be happy about receiving a pre-recorded advertisement; the pre-recorded ones are even more annoying than ones from a live person because you can't instantly interrupt them and ask to be removed from a company's calling list. Everyone knows that the so-called Prior Business Relationship idea is just a dodge by companies to get around consumer privacy. No, I DON'T want to hear from a company just because I once bought a pair of socks from them, and I DON'T want to hear about all the money saving plans some bank or phone company wants to tell me about. The immense popularity of the Do Not Call list should have made it clear that people HATE TELEMARKETERS and want to keep their phones free of advertising.
