Please do not allow changes to the FTC's rules for the Do Not Call List. Why should your rules be changed? Why not change the FCC's rules to conform with the FTC's? Is not the FTC just as, if not more, important than the FCC? Get the pecking order straight here. As a consumer I get enough dead-air calls as it is, and do not care for any more. If a company wants me to have information, they'll get it to me. If I want information from a company, I'll let them know. I just hang up on pre-recorded calls anyway. (Do the telemarketers keep track of how long a message is listened to, or just if the phone was answered? I never have heard one that made me want to hang on and listen to it through.) Thank you for your time in listening (OK, reading) to this. Sincerely, Maureen Mannion
