I oppose this proposed rule change. I am a private citizen who subscribed to the Do Not Call List because I do not want any unsolicited commercial calls. I certainly do not want automated calls. I consider the idea of "established business relationship" to be sophistry. The only possible exception I could contemplate would be an explicit case-by-case opt-in, by which I mean that the individual has signed a form saying that this particular business may call under stated circumstances. The existing Do Not Call list has been a decided improvement. Do not weaken it. I do not pay for a telephone line for the convenience of marketers.
