It has been wonderful not being interrupted at my meals by unwanted telemarketing calls. I strongly object to changing the rules that would allow companies with whom I have had a so-called "prior relationship", however far fetched, to be able to make prerecorded calls to me without my direct permission.. Basing a prior relationship on something as specious a making a minor purchase from a business is truly stretching definitions. It appears that some companies (ie. Voice Mail Broadcasting) will resort to anything to get what they want. If I wanted to receive calls from a business, I would like to be the one to make that determination.
