Comments:
I admantly oppose any change in law, rule, or policy which would allow any additional unwanted telephone calls, email, or other communication, or would place any additional burden or responsibility on the consumer, such as any new requirement to "opt out" to avoid unwanted calls. In addition, I oppose ANY safe harbor provisions or allowance for calls even from organizations, either for-profit or non-profit with which the consumer has a so-called pre-existing business relationship. Existing opt-out mechanisms should also bar all calls from such organizations, and an opt-in mechanism should be devised if ANY organization wants to call a consumer who has previously signed the do not call list.
