Comments:
The proposed loophole in the Do Not Call Registry, ie. “pre-recorded message telemarketing,” proves once again that money and influence ultimately prevail. Already these “pre-recorded horrors” are cropping up on our phone and answering service. The babble is audible before the phone picks up, completely negating the “effect” of the message, if there is any. It only ends up clogging our telephone reception. I would hope that civility prevails and that these invasions be stopped. The FTC is either stupid or “bought” to believe that there would not be “dramatic results” by allowing this intrusion. Sincerely, Dr. William P. Thompson, Vero Beach, FL drswjtvb@aol.com
