It has been proven that the public does not want these calls. They are intrusive, invasive and in some cases very costly for consumers. This change is being requested so that telemarketers can return to the same practices they had before the restrictions went in place. This appears to be one more example to a government agency being influenced by a powerful lobbying organization with lots of cash to buy what it wants. The FTC is a representative of the citizens and not supposed to be available for purchase by focus organizations. What is the benefit of these proposed changes? Who other than the telemarketers are going to benefit from them? I have enjoyed the reduction in calls and have hopes that we will not return to the previous policies. As my representative I am requesting that the FTC act on my behalf and not the Telemarketers and not further dilute the Telemarketing Sales Rule. Thank you,
