Sirs, Please do not relax any of the provisions of the Do Not Call rules. Far too many loopholes already exist in them that need to be closed. I do not want to be pestered at work by these parasites, but they will arrogently tell me they are allowed to call, & continue to do so. I make it a policy never to buy anything from a company that telemarkets me. Retail stores seem to train their clerks to demand the customers phone number. The way the law is written, purchacing a pair of socks creates a " business relationship", & opens one up to a year & a half of being hounded by telepests. Please enforce the law as it is written, follow up on every complaint, & asses the telemarketer the maximun fine. If they whine that it will put them out of business....... well good. That's one less pest on the phone. If this is done, telemarketers will fear the FTC the way citizens fear the IRS. Since most people pay their taxes, the IRS must be doing something right. To review, please close all the loopholes in the law, & enforce it vigorously. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Ric Ackerman
