I find in outrageous that pre-recorded calls are deemed less annoying than calls from a real person. With pre-recorded calls, you will be forced to listen to the whole speech before finding out how to contact the company to "opt out" of any further harrassment. I am a night shift employee, registered nurse in the emergency room, who also has a daughter in school and elderly parents. I cannot safely just turn off my phone when I try to sleep. When I am woken during the day, falling back to sleep is difficult to impossible, and the sleep deprivation is dangerous to my patients in the emergency room the next night. Since the implementation of the do not call list, I rarely am disturbed, except during the presidential campaign. Please do not amend the do not call list regulations except to strengthen them.
